ABOUT ME

“From as young as I can remember my parents would drag my brother and I, often kicking and screaming, up mountains, or on long walks wherever we were.  I soon grew out of the kicking and screaming but it wasn’t until I was in my late teens that I would be the one instigating the adventures.”

A keen outdoor enthusiast with a taste for adventure, I am fascinated by the science behind the beautiful landscapes that are there to be explored. How where they formed? What created them? Why is every landscape so beautifully unique?
Last year I graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc(hons) in Earth Science. Throughout my university career I further developed a strong interest and intrigue in the way our planet (and, in fact, the universe) formed and operates today. I  have been fortunate to study this in some spectacular locations across the world. And through this blog I hope to share this with you.

I am currently a PhD student studying changes in the East Antarctic ice sheet.
